How MSC Can Benefit You

Join us to learn the core skills of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), an evidence-based program created by Drs. Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer. Through meditations, in-class exercises, and practical tools, you’ll learn:

• A three-step process to meet overwhelm and face challenges with confidence

• The two most important questions to ask to create a healthier work-life balance

• How to quiet your self-critical voice and strengthen your compassionate voice

• Words and gestures to calm painful emotions

• How to navigate difficult emotions with greater ease

Who Can Benefit from MSC

MSC is for everyone—no mindfulness experience is required. This course is ideal for caregivers, healthcare professionals, faculty, and educators seeking practical tools for lasting wellbeing.

MSC is therapeutic, but it’s not therapy. The emphasis of the program is on building the resources of self-compassion and mindfulness through a process of self-discovery. We begin with mindfulness before turning with loving awareness toward difficult experiences (thoughts, emotions, or sensations). Then we turn that loving awareness toward ourselves. Together, mindfulness and self-compassion comprise a state of warm, connected presence during difficult moments in our lives.
